Our Team
Mark Taylor, RPh., MBA
President and CEO
Mark is a co-founder of Curexa and has been the Registered Pharmacist in Charge since 2003. Mark received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and his Master of Business Administration from Temple University. Mark is also a former president of the New Jersey Pharmacy Association (NJPhA) and continues to volunteer his time to advance pharmacy practice. Mark was recently elected to the treasurer position at NJPhA, effective in January 2023.
Dave Rutzel
Vice President of Information Systems and Technology
Dave was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to the Philadelphia area after graduating with a degree in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Dave has over twenty-five years of experience in information technology. He has held several leadership positions where he managed the successful development and deployment of technology solutions including ERP systems, business intelligence, enterprise architecture, cloud migration, and modern mobile applications that enabled growth and reduced costs.
Scott Elwood, RPh., FACA
Director of Compounding Operations
As the Director of Compounding Operations for Curexa, Scott brings IT and healthcare knowledge, project management, and Lean Six Sigma disciplines to the team. He also ensures compliance with federal and state compounding regulations and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards. Before joining Curexa, Scott served as a Pharmacist Lab Quality Manager and has held various pharmacist and leadership positions at another pharmacy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the Rutgers University College of Pharmacy. He is a licensed pharmacist in eighteen states and has been in the pharmacy profession since 1989. He is a Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries.
Robert Cimorelli, RPh.
Senior Vice President of Regulatory and Strategic Operations
As SVP of Regulatory and Strategic Operations, Robert brings extensive pharmaceutical expertise in research, product development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, strategic planning, and operations. With a background in both sterile and non-sterile compounding for human and veterinary markets, including nuclear medicine, he enhances safety and compliance measures, prioritizing patient welfare. Leveraging his experience in a top mail-order pharmacy, Cimorelli aims to bolster Curexa’s operations. His focus on growth extends to the 503A and 503B compounding markets. A Philadelphia native with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and professional certifications from MIT, Cimorelli’s dedication to healthcare is evident through his licensure in fifteen states and membership in the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering.
Kim Jelinek, RPh.
Lead Pharmacist
Kim is the Lead Pharmacist at Curexa and a graduate of Rutgers University in Newfield, NJ. Her dedication and attention to detail make her an invaluable team member, and she is currently in the process of obtaining her RPh license in sixteen additional states. When not at the pharmacy, Kim enjoys Disney vacations, sunsets on the beach, following the Phillies and Steelers, and spending quality time with her family.
Ryan Taylor, PharmD
Director of Operations
Ryan is a 2018 Philadelphia College of Pharmacy graduate and currently works as the Director of Operations and Pharmacist In Charge at Curexa. He enjoys working with our partners and the different teams within the company to better our business and create an excellent pharmacy experience for our patients and partners. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing sports (basketball, soccer, and golf), and spending time with his wife and two dogs.
Nick LiPuma
Vice President – Finance
Nick joined Curexa in 2022 as the Vice President of Finance, bringing with him a broad public and private accounting knowledge background. Prior to joining Curexa, his public accounting experience included the areas of auditing, taxation, and outsourced accounting services. His private company experience includes being the Controller of an industry-leading, nationally recognized compounding pharmacy with organic and acquisition-based growth. During that time, Nick played critical roles in managing multiple company-wide projects ranging from automation and efficiency improvements to full integrations of acquisitions. Nick received his undergraduate and Master of Business Administration degrees from Stockton University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with the state of Pennsylvania. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family through travel, hiking, and all things outdoors.
Arpita Sammons, Pharm.D., BCSCP
Director Learning and Development
Arpita Sammons is the Director of Learning and Development at Curexa. Arpita graduated from Stockton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2004 and achieved a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Temple University School of Pharmacy in 2008. Arpita has over 20 years of experience in the field of pharmacy, serving in various roles within the community and institutional settings and acquiring a background in both sterile and nonsterile compounding. During her time as a pharmacy leader in the health system, Arpita developed a passion for regulatory compliance, patient safety, compounding, and education. She achieved designation as a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist with the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in 2019. Over the years, Arpita has developed several training programs and materials, including a Curexa Pharmacy Technician Training and Certification Program, approved by the NJ State Board of Pharmacy. She is enthusiastic about talent development and has found the most rewarding part of leadership to be celebrating the growth and success of others.
